Organic Certification Authority

Oil in the Raw offers only certified organic olive oil and organic olives.
Most of our olive farmers in Greece are registered by DIO, currently the foremost Greek organic certification body;
each consignment of olive oil or olives given to Oil in the Raw is covered by the required certificate stipulating the quantity and destination Company.
There are other certifying authorities, however, and no doubt, we shall come across them at some time, but they will all be recognised
internationally.
DIO is recognised by the Soil Association in the UK, and Defra, Ukrofs.
This year 2006, rules concerning the storage of organic produce have widened to require organic registration of warehouses. Therefore,
Oil in the Raw is applying for organic storage status too.
